Terms

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and UniMax. Short version: use it honestly, cancel whenever you want, and never treat it as the official record of your grades.

01

Agreeing to these terms

By creating a UniMax account or subscribing to UniMax Pro, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

02

What UniMax is

UniMax is a web app that helps university students track course grades and assignment weights, prioritise deadlines, work out the grade they need on remaining work, generate study plans, and track internship applications.

It is a planning tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official record of any university.

03

Your account

You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign in secure. One account per person.

04

The free plan and the Pro plan

The free plan includes one active semester, up to five courses, full grade tracking and assignment management, the finals calculator and grade simulator, the deadline calendar, three UniMax AI actions in total, and three internship applications.

UniMax Pro costs 7.99 CAD per month. It removes those limits and adds semester history with GPA trends over time. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.

05

Billing

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your subscription starts as soon as payment succeeds and renews on the same day each month. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

If we ever change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

06

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Settings, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Pro features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account returns to the free plan.

Cancelling does not delete your data.

07

AI features and accuracy

Syllabus import, study plans, and job posting extraction are generated by an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete, or misread what you gave them.

Always check extracted weights and due dates against your official syllabus before relying on them. Verifying anything that affects your grades is your responsibility.

08

Every grade shown is an estimate

Current grade, banked grade, the grade required on remaining work, and GPA are all calculated from what you entered. They are estimates, not official results. Your university's records are the only authoritative source.

UniMax does not guarantee any academic outcome.

09

Acceptable use

Do not use UniMax to break the law or your university's academic integrity rules, to reach other users' data, to disrupt the service, or to resell access to it.

Do not upload content you do not have the right to upload.

10

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you enter. You give us permission to store and process it for the sole purpose of running the service for you.

11

Availability

We work to keep UniMax running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error free service. It is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

12

Liability

To the extent the law allows, UniMax is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including academic consequences. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

13

Ending access

You can stop using UniMax and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

14

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced inside the app.

15

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
